Santorum: Obama Admin ‘Seems To Favor Pornographers Over Children And Families’

Rick Santorum is officially taking on the “pandemic of harm” that has been caused by hardcore pornography. He accused the Obama administration of turning “a blind eye to those who wish to preserve our culture” — and emphasized his vow to enforce federal obscenity laws under a Santorum administration.

In a statement on his website, Santorum declared, “the Obama Department of Justice seems to favor pornographers over children and families.” Citing several reasons, Santorum said, “Addiction to pornography is now common for adults and even for some children. […] The average age of first exposure to hard-core, Internet pornography is now 11. Pornography is toxic to marriages and relationships.”

As a parent, Santorum is worried about the “profound effects on our culture.” If elected president, the statement said he would appoint an attorney general to enforce the obscenity laws.

“I proudly support the efforts of the War on Illegal Pornography Coalition that has tirelessly fought to get federal obscenity laws enforced,” he stated.

The Santorum campaign has been underlining a slew of social issues ranging from the abortion to the controversial contraception mandate. Looks like this is another one to add to the list.
