Sarah Palin’s Son Jailed After Attacking Gun-Toting Father

Todd Palin, husband to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, had to pull a gun on his own son on Saturday, a move that did not deter 28-year-old Track Palin from breaking a window and beating his father.

According to a court affidavit, Sarah Palin called authorities to complain that her son was “freaking out and was on some type of medication.”

The affidavit indicated that Track said he was coming to the home, ostensibly to incite physical violence with members of the family, particularly Todd.

“Track told him he was (going to) come anyway to beat his ass,” said Wasilla officer Adam LaPointe.

Todd met his son at the front door, gun in hand. Track, according to the same affidavit, was not swayed by the weapon, instead breaking a nearby a window, crawling in the house and beating his father to the ground, repeatedly punching him in the head.

The Palin patriarch managed to make it outside, but was severely injured, suffering numerous cuts and bruises on his head.

Track was arrested on charges of felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault. As of this writing, he has not been released on bond and is still behind bars.

John Tiemessen, an attorney for the Palin family, has released a statement, urging folks to respect his clients’ privacy as this incident makes it way through Alaska courts.

“They ask that the family’s privacy is respected during this challenging situation just as others dealing with a struggling family member would also request,” the statement read.

This isn’t Track’s first brush with the law. Last year, he pleaded guilty to possessing a weapon while intoxicated, copping a plea deal to eliminate a charge of domestic violence after being accused of beating his then-girlfriend.
