Start Your Own White House Christmas Ornament Controversy
A
fter seeing the stir caused by Andrew Breitbart’s “Ornament-Gate” story, I had to go back and review the footage and pictures that I shot of White House Christmas decorations a few weeks ago. Breitbart’s Big Hollywood made an eagle-eyed catch of an ornament that appeared to be mocking Chairman Mao, and leapt to his defense. Or something.
I think we can do better than that. Without even looking, I found a White House display that featured nudity and beasts of burden. See if you can uncover a new “scandal.”
Either that, or you can just enjoy these exclusive photos and video of some of the holiday decorations at the White House.
Before the press got to tour the decorations, Michelle Obama delivered some remarks about the displays, flanked by several Marines. I went back through the pictures I shot that day, and sure enough, I uncovered something sinister.
Right next to the First Lady sat a large box intended for the collection and redistribution of toys. Furthermore, if you go to the organization’s website, you will not find a specific definition of “tot” anywhere. Do these toys go to children of gays or illegals? They’re not saying.
Once the tour started, the display in the East Room immediately caught my eye.
I shot this video intending to pull screenshots off of it, but you don’t really get the full effect. I was intrigued by the weirdly realistic, yet supernatural, diorama in the East Room.
After that, I took a quick shot of the Green Room before finally shooting the National Christmas Tree. To all you Yule Sleuths out there, I suggest a close, frame-by-frame study of this video. You never know what yule uncover.
Here are some stills I took of the White House decorations while killing time before the briefing. Enjoy, and Happy Holidays!
