Ted Cruz Responds to Jerry Brown Saying He’s ‘Unfit’ for Office

Before he officially announced his run for the presidency, Senator Ted Cruz responded to California Governor Jerry Brown calling him “unfit” for office.

Brown was on Meet the Press yesterday and reacted to Cruz rejecting scientific theories about climate change. Brown said, “That man betokens such a level of ignorance and a direct falsification of the existing scientific data… [He] has rendered himself absolutely unfit to be running for office.”

Cruz spoke to Breitbart News Sunday yesterday and responded to Brown’s remarks. He rejected the “alarmism” and again insisted there has been no warming in the past decade-plus.

Cruz also expressed disappointment in Brown engaging in ad hominem attacks:

He said alarmists like Brown “ridicule and insult anyone who actually looks at the real data” instead of engaging in a meaningful debate or discussion because “they don’t want to confront the data” that undercuts their narrative. Cruz said that though “apocalyptical computer models said that we would see substantial warming,” the “problem is that the satellites that are actually measuring the temperature show that that isn’t happening.”
