Trump Blames ‘Bad Blood’ Between U.S. And Russia on ‘Democrat Loyalists’ Leading Mueller Probe
President Donald Trump’s tweets have been more frantic than ever this Wednesday morning, as he rails against the Russia investigation, while warning the Kremlin that he intends to bomb Syria.
First, Trump tweeted a response to Russia’s claims that they would shoot down any missiles fired at Syria — warning the Kremlin to get “ready,” as missiles “will be coming”:
Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and “smart!” You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it!

Trump added in a subsequent tweet that the “relationship with Russia is worse now” than during the Cold War:
Our relationship with Russia is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War. There is no reason for this. Russia needs us to help with their economy, something that would be very easy to do, and we need all nations to work together. Stop the arms race?

And now, Trump has trained his sights on the investigation into his campaign’s Russia ties, apparently blaming Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team for the tensions between D.C. and the Kremlin.
“Much of the bad blood with Russia is caused by the Fake & Corrupt Russia Investigation, headed up by the all Democrat loyalists, or people that worked for Obama,” Trump tweeted. “Mueller is most conflicted of all (except Rosenstein who signed FISA & Comey letter). No Collusion, so they go crazy!”

As CNN’s Chris Cillizza points out, the tweet is a little misguided:
Mueller, a Republican, was appointed by FBI Director by George W. Bush.
Mueller was appointed special counsel by Rod Rosenstein, a Trump Administration pick as deputy attorney general. https://t.co/jhL6CVJWZI
