Twitter Lauds Comey for Successfully Promoting His Book By Becoming a Meme: ‘He’s Running’
James Comey is still relatively new to the Twitterverse, though it seems like he’s doing just fine in learning the ropes.
Comey more or less revealed his online persona last month when he started releasing pictures of himself and giving his Reinhold Niebuhr Twitter profile the finishing touches it needed. Today, the former FBI director got back online to promote his new book, and he basically turned himself into a meme:
Lordy I hope there are pictures. https://t.co/7mkLLskVu8

Of course, this is a reference to Comey’s remarks before the Senate Intelligence Committee, where he reacted to President Trump‘s threat of possessing tapes of their conversations together. This happened shortly after Trump fired Comey as FBI director, a move which prompted massive intrigue due to the apparent interest in reducing pressure from the investigations into Russia’s actions during the 2016 election.
Based on how blue-checkmark Twitter is receiving Comey’s meta tweet, it seems they’re happy to see the former FBI director show his sense of humor:
Who’s doing the audiobook?
