Twitter Reponds to Erick Erickson’s Shot-Up NY Times Gun Editorial

erick erickson nyt shot upAs soon as outgoing Red State Editor-in-Chief Erick Erickson posted a photo of The New York Times‘ gun editorial with seven bullet holes in it, Twitter started giving him sh*t for it.

His followers (and detractors) on social media were specifically concerned with Erickson’s groupings. Six of the seven bullet holes landed squarely on the front-page editorial, albeit in a haphazard fashion. The seventh bullet missed the editorial by an inch, instead striking just above the cover story’s headline.

In terms of hitting the editorial, Erickson’s six of seven shots is actually very good — their placement simply looks random. Even so, Twitter didn’t care.

Others skipped Erickson’s apparently bad aim and went straight to trolling him.

This new viral campaign is off to a great start.
