President Donald Trump takes to the stage in Pensacola, FL on Friday night for a campaign-style rally.
The event takes place at the Pensacola Bay Center — which, according to Google Maps, is approximately 16 miles from the Alabama state line. This, of course, is notable because the Alabama Senate election takes place on Tuesday. And while Trump will not visit the state to campaign on behalf of the man he’s endorsed — accused child molester Roy Moore — the President is seemingly coming as close as he possibly can without actually setting foot in Alabama.
Trump is expected to voice his support for Moore during Friday’s rally. The candidate himself, however, is not slated to attend.
The President is likely to use the opportunity to push the GOP tax plan as well. The proposed legislation has not been terribly popular with anyone, including Trump’s base. It seems likely he’ll try to win some converts on Friday night.
And given his antipathy towards CNN, Trump may also bring up the botched CNN report — which incorrectly stated that the Trump campaign had access to WikiLeaks documents before the public did. Many have taken the opportunity to blast CNN for the error, and it’s all but certain Trump will do the same at some point during the event.
The rally is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. ET. Watch above, via Right Side Broadcasting.
