When the Trump heiress’ father addressed today’s march, his first reaction was to slam the “many anti-police agitators” taking part in protests. Eventually, the president offered a softer tweet where he praised today’s participants for speaking out against bigotry and hate.
There were a number of arrests in Boston today, but the bulk of today’s events remained peaceful. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and Police Commissioner William Evans applauded the demonstrators for their orderly conduct throughout the day.
