Fox & Friends Host Will Cain Shuts Down Talk That Michelle Obama Will Replace Biden on Dem Ticket

An awkward moment ensued on Saturday’s Fox & Friends when co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy declared that Democrats still may turn to Michelle Obama to save the 2024 presidential ticket.

She made her prediction during a discussion over who would be “the future” of the Democrat Party.

“Is the future of the Democrat party Joe Biden? Is it the guy you just watched, Gavin Newsom? Is it Kamala Harris, or is it Dean Phillips, who’s really the only one actually campaigning outright as a Democrat against Joe Biden?” asked co-host Pete Hegseth.

“The three of us would agree that — and it’s a worthy thing to notice — you should run on a platform that democracy’s at stake while at every turn undercutting the process of democracy,” Hegseth added. “They’re Democrats, after all, going after a sitting incumbent president — either you take the gloves off or you don’t. Dean Phillips has got to have a huge showing in New Hampshire to even have a blip are on the radar.”

Hegseth then referenced an interview with Phillips’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver, saying, “It’s ironic, you watch a guy like Jeff Weaver — he saw Bernie Sanders get submarined twice.”

“Absolutely! Anti-democratically,” agreed co-host Will Cain.

“Exactly! At this point you should know exactly what the Democratic Party is, and at this point, it’s not democratic,” Hegseth said.

Campos-Duffy then jumped into the conversation.

“I say they’re going to replace Joe Biden. It’s not going to be with Dean Phillips. It’s not going to be with Gavin Newsom, ’cause they can’t skip over Kamala [Harris] because of that. If you noticed this week, and last week as well, more talk about Michelle Obama. I still think that’s in the cards. The wheels are coming off of Joe Biden — ”

“Or Nikki Haley,” Cain said, stopping Campos-Duffy in her tracks.

“Oh, right, as an independent,” Campos-Duffy said after skipping a beat.

“There are already Democrats crossing over,” Cain shot back.

Hegseth cut the tension with, “Well, they already have, and there’s conversation about the No Labels candidacy— ”

“Right, and that’s where she would jump to,” Campos-Duffy maintained.

“Expect the unexpected. It’s gonna be a crazy ride,” Hegseth concluded.
