‘Sabotage!’ MAGA Podcaster Offended Press Shouted Questions at Trump-Putin Summit: ‘I Was Raised a Little Differently’
MAGA podcaster Jack Posobiec accused the press pool of trying to sabotage Friday’s Alaska summit by yelling questions at Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin without being given permission to do so.
Posobiec appeared on Steve Bannon’s War Room to reveal that he was part of the press pool that traveled to Alaska to cover the discussions on how to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Posobiec expressed his offense at what he called “the press spray” at the start of the meeting.
“That was when they ushered us into this small room. And we’re there — the president of the United States, the president of Russia — the two most powerful people in the world. Their entire delegations were brought in for a photo op,” Posobiec began.
He continued:
They never said that they would be taking questions. And I don’t know, maybe I was raised a little differently but, you know, if I’m in a room with guys like that and they say, ‘We’re not taking questions,’ I’m gonna wait until they tell us it’s OK to ask questions.
And then all of a sudden I hear these voices screaming, “Why are you doing the killing? Why are you bombing this? Why are you bombing that?” It’s a war! We understand what the situation is, what the consequences are. But also, we are hopeful that we can stop those things with a peace deal. That’s the whole point of the exercise. That’s the evolution. That’s why we flew all the way here.
So it is invective — it was, to my mind, an attempt to sabotage all of this. That’s probably why there were no questions later at the press conference.
Fox News reported that Putin appeared “visibly annoyed” as reporters yelled questions, noting, “For President Donald Trump, such media scrutiny was nothing out of the ordinary, but Putin appeared to make it clear he was unhappy with the display. As reporters tried to grab the leaders’ attention, Putin — a former Soviet KGB intelligence officer — seemed to be visibly annoyed.”
