‘EXTREME SABOTAGE’: Trump Trots Out New Deleted Evidence Conspiracy in Rage Fueled New Year’s Post

Judging by his rage-fueled and all-caps social media posts, former President Donald Trump spent part of the New Year’s Day holiday seething about various legal and political figures in a manner that —— can only be considered angry and conspiratorial.
Trump took to social media and lambasted former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney (who played a lead role in the House Select Committee investigating Trump’s role in the events of January 6th), as well as the “ridiculous deranged Jack Smith” and “Crazy Nancy Pelosi,” because of course he did.
More noteworthy than his typical bromides and insulting attacks is Trump’s introduction of a new conspiracy theory: that Liz Cheney “ILLEGALLY DELETE & DESTROY most of the evidence, and related items, from the January 6th Committee of Political Thugs and Misfits,” which he labeled as “EXTREME SABOTAGE.”
Trump said on Truth Social;
Why did American Disaster Liz Cheney, who suffers from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), and was defeated for Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congressman or Congresswoman in the history of our Country, ILLEGALLY DELETE & DESTROY most of the evidence, and related items, from the January 6th Committee of Political Thugs and Misfits. THIS ACT OF EXTREME SABOTAGE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR MY LAWYERS TO PROPERLY PREPARE FOR, AND PRESENT, A PROPER DEFENSE OF THEIR CLIENT, ME. All of the information on Crazy Nancy Pelosi turning down 10,000 soldiers that I offered to to guard the Capitol Building, and beyond, is gone. The ridiculous Deranged Jack Smith case on Immunity, which the most respected legal minds in the Country say I am fully entitled to, is now completely compromised and should be thrown out and terminated, JUST LIKE THE RADICAL LEFT LUNATICS DID TO THE EVIDENCE!
Trump’s insulting his political rivals and judicial prosecutors is nothing new. It’s not just newsworthy anymore, but it’s kinda sad and tired.
What is newsworthy in this post and sure to take off in conservative media circles that take their cues from Trump? The conspiracy that any exonerating evidence has been deleted, such as the widely debunked defense that then-Speaker Pelosi is somehow responsible for the hordes of Trump-supporting rioters that attacked the Capitol to interrupt the certification of the 2020 election and perhaps even hang Mike Pence.
Conspiracy theories such as this work because they cannot be proven false. Take, for example, the notion that the 2020 election was even stolen. Many pro-Trump voices insisted that it had to be proven that it WASN’T stolen. That’s impossible. The burden of proof makes it unable to prove a negative, like Saddam Hussein possessing WMD or Bigfoot existing. It’s impossible to prove that something doesn’t exist, like deleted evidence that could exonerate him.
But this is where we are at the moment, and it appears that Trump has resorted to the “they lost my homework” legal strategy, which may reveal just how desperate he actually is.
