Biden Implores Packers Fan to Help Get Aaron Rodgers Jabbed: ‘He’s Gotta Get the Vaccine’

Aaron Rodgers already sought medical advice from Joe Rogan, why not also see what the president of the United States has to say?

Rodgers’ highly scrutinized vaccination status reached the highest ranked official in the United States Tuesday afternoon, when President Joe Biden encouraged the Green Bay Packers quarterback to get immunized against Covid for real.

While in Kentucky, visiting areas of the state that were recently devastated by deadly tornadoes, Biden found a woman wearing a Packers hat and shirt. “Tell that quarterback he’s gotta get the vaccine,” Biden told her. The unnamed Packers fan and others standing around the president laughed at the quip, while cameras caught the interaction.

After telling reporters he was “immunized” against Covid earlier this year, NFL fans and media were stunned to learn Rodgers was actually unvaccinated when he tested positive for the virus last month.

The NFL reports nearly 95 percent of its players are vaccinated against Covid and nearly 100 percent of league personnel received the jab. Despite widespread vaccinations, the NFL is getting battered by Covid right now as the league turns to booster shots in an effort to save the season.

75 NFL players tested positive for Covid on Monday and Tuesday of this week, representing 3.4% of the league. The NFL has not had to postpone a game yet for Covid this season, but the wave of infections has the league reexamining their protocols.

Biden has continued his push to get the entire country vaccinated, but there may be more reasoning behind his interest in Rodgers than just the jab. While campaigning in Green Bay during the 2012 election, the Pennsylvania native informed the Wisconsin crowd that he’s a longtime Packers fan, dating back to the legendary Vince Lombardi days.
