Chuck Todd ‘Astounded’ by Hillary’s Drop in Polls, Behind Bernie Sanders

NBC’s Meet the Press host Chuck Todd was flabbergasted by Hillary Clinton’s most recent poll numbers, telling MSNBC’s Morning Joe that he had to reread them to make sure he had it right.

Host Joe Scarborough read off a new CNN poll that found that Clinton was losing to Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire 46% to 30%. “How bad do those numbers look to you, Chuck?” he asked.

“I saw them yesterday and I said, ‘Double digits? She’s down double digits in New Hampshire?’ Can we take a minute here and realize Hillary Clinton is down double digits to Bernie Sanders?” Todd responded.

I remember the fist time, I sat there, and I thought I was misreading it,” he said. “That’s an astounding number, and you take [Joe Biden] out and he’s still ahead. You combine Biden and Clinton, and he’s still ahead.”
