Former Romney Adviser Hit By Falling Object On CNBC Set

Former Mitt Romney campaign advisor and Columbia Business School Dean, Glenn Hubbard, was surprised by a banner falling on his head during a live CNBC interview this morning about the fiscal cliff.

Hubbard was in the middle of discussing the need for Congress to re-examine its spending on entitlement programs when he was blindsided by the banner. Host Melissa Lee apologized and asked Hubbard if he was alright, saying “you never know what’s going to happen” on live television.

Hubbard told Lee he was fine and joked, “That’s what happens when you criticize the welfare state.”
