Fox & Friends Completely Fawns Over Trump’s 60 Minutes Interview: Never More Confident

One of the most fascinating media dynamics at play during the Trump administration is watching cable news programs react to the news with the knowledge that President Donald Trump is likely watching their show. It is not crazy to see that hosts are tailoring their commentary to an audience of one: the Commander in Chief who is reported to watch many hours of cable news each day.

Take for example this morning’s Fox & Friends (a show that Trump had long been a regular guest on before he ran for office) and the lavish praise the provided in reaction to last night’s 60 Minutes interview. Fox News morning show’s reaction stood in stark contrast to Morning Joe’s “unfit to lead” and he’s a big baby criticism.

Trump is almost certain to delight on how Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade, each took turns praising the president or amplifying Trump’s same criticisms. To wit:

The interview showed a biased agenda against the White House and was evidence that the media was biased.

60 Minutes’ Lesley Stahl was thought by many Republicans to be rude because she interrupted the President so many times.

Trump often evaded questions and gave his own answers (which showed how strong he was.)

Trump’s “I am the president and you are not” was a “great answer” who reminded Stahl who was boss.

Fox News viewers will certainly agree with the top-rated morning show’s assessment of last night’s interview, but more importantly, there is one viewer who will LOVE their reaction. The guy that’s getting the praise lavished on him by these television sycophants: Donald Trump.
