In her new memoir, former interim Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile dropped an explosive allegation that Hillary Clinton had taken over the DNC during the 2016 presidential campaign and effectively “rigged” the Democratic nominating process against Bernie Sanders. She stated in the published excerpt that the DNC had gone broke under President Barack Obama and was being sustained by Clinton’s campaign.
During this morning’s broadcast of Fox and Friends, guest host Kevin Jackson decided to bring race into the question while taking shots at Obama. After co-host Abby Huntsman stated that the biggest question in her mind over the DNC/Brazile thing was how the organization had lost so much money and racked up debt under the former president.
“Sad part about that is Barack Obama was supposed to be a rock star,” Jackson responded. “Here is this guy, sadly to say, the black man leaves them with no money.”
After awkwardly laughing, he continued: And I know that a lot of people are going to be offended by that but that was the guy that was supposed to save the party.”
Co-host Pete Hegseth didn’t address Jackson’s comments but did say that “Hillary Clinton supposed to win through a rigged system.” Huntsman added that “we will talk about this all morning long” before moving on to some other headlines.
Jackson, a black conservative commentator, has a history of making provocative comments about Obama and/or race. Back in April, Jackson said a black shooter who had killed white men was the “legacy of Obama.” During a Hannity appearance in 2015, he called activist DeRay McKesson a “race pimp.” This was shortly after he claimed Al Sharpton was tweeting about the weather because there were “no riots.”
