Rudy Giuliani Slams Mueller Probe on Hannity: ‘Totally Garbage Investigation’

Rudy Giuliani has some strong words about the integrity of the Russia investigation.

Giuliani, who has recently been hired as the chief lawyer for President Donald Trump in the Russia probe, told Sean Hannity that the investigation is “tainted” and “garbage.”

“You can’t possibly not feel as a citizen of the world that [Trump’s] negotiations with North Korea are much more significant than this totally garbage investigation,” Giuliani said.

He went on to praise the legal team that has advised the president thus far.

“[Ty Cobb] has been enormously helpful, he helped me with my orientation… We wouldn’t be where we are today which is in a very strong position if it wasn’t for him and John [Dowd].”

“I have nothing but the utmost respect for John Dowd,” he continued on. “He had the right instinct about this which is you’re going to get him to testify over my dead body because he’s trying to trap him. He had the instinct to see that. All that work didn’t go for nothing, we got it all.”

He then called Jay Sekulow “the rock” of the team and said that what he brings to the table is being “a lawyer who knows the criminal justice system as well as anybody in America.”

“And I think I have the respect of [Robert] Mueller, the FBI, the Justice Department,” he added. “If they are objective, we can work something out. If they’re not, then we have to shake hands and go into a litigation over do they have the power to subpoena. I think they’ve lost that power. This is a completely tainted investigation.”
