Trevor Noah Ridicules Conservative Criticism of Eric Holder: ‘Fox News Phony Victims Unit’

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah recalled a previous era of the show when the titular current host offered scathing criticism of, historically, one of the shows favorite targets.

Of course, we are talking about right-of-center Fox News and last night host Trevor Noah effectively pointed and laughed at Fox News conservative talent’s hyperventilating at former Attorney General Eric Holder’s recent comments.

In a clip that’s been aired on Fox News repeatedly,  Holder updated Michelle Obama’s famous axiom of “when they go low, we go high” with a different response: “we kick them.

After airing that clip, Noah then showed a clip of Sean Hannity’s response:

“We kick them.” Really? This is the top cop under Barack Obama, from hope and change to kick ’em on the ground?”

Noah replied, “Can we just acknowledge that by saying they’re going to get kicked, Sean Hannity and his friends are accepting that they’re going low, right?”

He then showed how his self-described “fake news” show engages in better journalism than Fox News by then airing the rest of Holder’s comments, which to my knowledge, had not been aired on Fox News.

What were the balance and full context of Holder’s comments? Oh, just the follow up when he clarifies with “I don’t mean we do anything inappropriate, we don’t do anything illegal., but we gotta be tough.”

“In other words, Eric Holder made it clear that it was a metaphor,” Noah explained. Oh!
