MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle Blasts President Trump: He ‘Owes the Boy Scouts of America an Apology’

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle absolutely blasted President Donald Trump Tuesday following his politically charged speech at the National Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.

After playing clips of some of the president’s comments, Ruhle appeared to be simply exasperated by Trump’s remarks as she brought in her panel.

“What was the president doing here?!” Ruhle said. “How is Anthony Scaramucci spinning this one?!”

Ruhle’s three panelists likewise admonished Trump to various degrees. But Ruhle was clearly infuriated by the speech, which she said ran counter to the stated Boy Scout values of being; “trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.”

“Respect couldn’t be more important in our culture,” Ruhle said. “These are our children!”

Trump, in Ruhle’s view, failed to serve as a role model to the crowd of teenagers gathered in West Virginia on Monday.

“You’ve gotta set the bar for the kids of our country,” Ruhle said. She added, “The president owes the Boy Scouts of America an apology for speaking that way to those young boys.”
