Basil Marceaux Visits Jimmy Kimmel Live, May Run For Governor… Of California

We’ve been on the Basil Marceaux beat for a couple weeks now, and on the heels of Mediaite’s exclusive interview with the anti-traffic stop Tennessee Governor candidate, Marceaux stopped by Jimmy Kimmel‘s ABC late night show last night.

It went how you’d expect.

We knew about Marceaux’s son – but last night he talked about his wife. “She’s happy I’m running, but she’s not happy that, she think I put her life in danger by the stand I’m taking about turning Tennessee a Republic,” said Marceaux. When Kimmel suggested she wanted to avoid controversy, Marceaux said, “A lot of people in the past that had controversy, they ended up dead.” Comforting…

At the end of the interview, Kimmel asked if Marceaux would consider becoming Governor of California instead. “I’ll be a governor of any state, as long as I can fix it,” he said.

This may sound strange, but the policy talk in the middle got a little boring. Still, we learned some new platforms from Marceaux – did you know he wants to fine you $10 if “little investigators” in the street see you aren’t carrying a gun? Also, he’d put Lindsay Lohan to death, but only if she killed someone first.

Here’s the interview:

Gordon Bloyer’s just like Sarah Palin; he just doesn’t do interviews well.

Only 41% of those surveyed Tuesday through
Sunday approved of the way Obama is handling his
job, his lowest rating in the USA TODAY/Gallup Poll
since he took office in January 2009. In Gallup’s
separate daily tracking poll, his approval was at 45%
    Monday.

You know, you said something similar on youtube only for his approval to go back up above 50% the next day, not only that but you confirmed exactly what I had said. Please continue, Mr. Bloyer

Basil Marceaux kind of looks like Dr. Bombay from Bewitched.

Marceaux, I mean Blower, I am so happy you are finally on television.

    FOX:
WE NEVER GAVE NEWS A TRY.
    WHY?
    EASIER TO SIMPLY LIE.

Wow. The definition of irony. The King calling someone a liar. I believe there’s a bible verse describing the King.

“The truth is not in him. He is the father of lies, and lies are his native tongue.”

Dang, writer, I thought that verse was about -0bama. Sure glad you straightened me out on that.

The King and Obama are hard to tell apart. The King is the one with the Domino’s sign on the top of his car.

that smells like big govt if you ask me!!!!

He is funny, but this guy never had a chance. I live in Nashville, so I find it funny that he got more play in the national markets than he ever did in TN. California can have him, he could not do any worse for them.
