‘Do We Have to Wait Until the Hammer and Sickle Is on the American Flag?’: Joy Behar Rips Hesitancy to Confront Trump
Today on ABC’s The View, the panelists had a lot to say about Donald Trump and his relationship with Russia. As other public figures have proven in the last few days, there was certainly plenty to discuss, given his reported Secretary of State pick is a good friend of Vladimir Putin‘s and the CIA has now said that Russia absolutely attempted to sway the election by hacking into various email accounts and databases.
Joy Behar went off on President-elect Trump’s attacks on the CIA, railing against him for putting the country in danger by publicly disparaging the agency that keeps us safe. She went as far as to call for him to step down before the inauguration, which was met with cheers.
Whoopi Goldberg backed her up, saying of Trump’s behavior, “It can’t be bad just because it’s not good for you.”
When Sunny Hostin turned the topic to probable Secretary of State pick Rex Tillerson, Behar lit it up again:
Paul Manafort, who used to be his campaign director, he had to quit because of his ties to Russia. I mean, do we have to wait until the hammer and sickle is on the American flag before we stand up to this guy?
Again, the crowd cheered.
Watch above to see Jedediah Bila take her turn shredding Trump’s likely decision to work with Tillerson by saying that she has no faith that the Exxon CEO would be able to stop being a businessman and become an advocate for the American people if he took the position.
