History Pays For The NYT, Literally

The New York Times knows how to make history pay…off. You may recall that the day after last year’s historic election of Barack Obama the Times, which quickly sold out of newsstand copies began offering a front page copy for $15 a pop. That worked so well that the paper incorporated the President-to-be as a subscription incentive this past January, under the hed “Don’t Miss Making History.” They are at it again today.
The homepage of the paper is currently running a Louis Vuiton banner ad on the front page which expands into a playable vid if you scroll over. If only the Times could figure out something to commemorate every day perhaps they would not have to be looking to subscriptions and foundations for support . Also, it’s far nicer to look at than shingles.
