david-letterman-barack-obama1President Obama is currently in Midtown (pictures below!), which according to a number of our readers is a madhouse at the moment, taping his David Letterman appearance to air tonight.

CBS’s Mark Knoller is apparently in the audience or backstage (or has a super excellent source!) and his tweets this hour are providing a nice preview of what’s to come tonight. Also: Spoiler Alert!

“In monologue, Letterman said he hadnt seen Obama since he invited Letterman and Sarah Palin to have a beer at the WH.”

I’d understand if CBS were to tweet any news that came from the appearance, but I don’t see a reason for the reporter to have revealed the jokes. Dave’s a big money-maker for CBS and I’m sure he’ll have a larger audience than usual nonetheless, but Mark Knoller tweeting the jokes didn’t serve news or his network. If you ask me, it may have undermined the entertainment division and only benefited Twitter, plus maybe expanded Knoller’s friendslist by a couple of points.

I am really impressed. Obama is as good as the rest of us on deciding what the other guy should have done.
Hell, I had never suspected that he was that smart. I’ll bet if I asked him what stocks I should have invested in last year, he could tell me.
We won’t be able to watch Leno as CSI Miami and Castle are on, as well as something on FOX Nooz..

You’re being too kind. Obama has also been a master at speaking in code. He’s now 9 months into his Presidency and the code still comes out: “Remember now, we inherited this mess”, “Yeah, I know, the unemployment numbers are higher than we anticipated, but the previous administration…” and “the stimulus is working, when we came into office, it was up to us to right this ship which was off course”.
Obama and his posse will continue, along with their Hollywood cheerleading crew, to continue to blame Bush for their own failures.
Obama just keeps digging a deeper hole by surrounding himself with radicals, overmarketing himself to the public (he’s starting to remind me of the “Sham-Wow” guy) and letting his media advisors make childish decisions like “lets punish Fox News”. The dividend there, is that he scores big with MSNBC and the Hollywood haters, but loses the most important special interest of all. Regular, hard working American citizens who are put off by this garbage.
