The Alvin Greene Stimulus Package: Create Alvin Greene Action Figures

poll

For a while now, Americans have had one large concern: jobs. It’s become a polarizing political problem that President Barack Obama has gotten a great deal of criticism for. But had we consulted South Carolina Senate candidate Alvin Greene earlier, we’d have learned of a new idea to stimulate the economy: creating Alvin Greene action figures.

In Greene’s own words:

“Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays. Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That’s something that would create jobs.”

And if you think he’s kidding, think again:

“So you see I think out of the box like that. It’s not something a typical person would bring up. That’s something that could happen, that makes sense. It’s not a joke.”

Yes, Mr. Greene, it’s definitely out of the box. While, we’ve recently discovered that Greene’s life hasn’t exactly been a joy ride, it’s hard not to wonder where these ideas come from. If nothing else, he gets points for creativity…and at least his plan has some relation to private-sector job creation.

That said, we now ask you, the people, to gauge Greene’s idea. Vote in the poll below!

I’ll buy one only if it comes with a miniature version of that pipe he must be hittin’ on.

Greene is sort of like that character Peter Sellers played in “Being There”, about someone who reaches the top of the heap when he should been left at the botttom of it and pushed by those who give him lines to read so everyone will think he’s a genius , and they do! The problem with Greene of course is that the republicans who pushed him to run for office left him high and dry because they don’t want to get caught, so life imitating art is what we have now with Greene with everyone seeing the emperor has no clothes.

Steamboater: Not to be difficult, but, do you have certifiable, definitive proof that the Republicans “pushed him to run for office”? Please, until you can prove something like that, don’t say it. There’s enough BS being shoveled around here already – don’t add to it. Perhaps the Democrats pushed him, or the Green Party, or the Libertarian Party, or the Socialist Party, or the Communist Party. Or perhaps, just perhaps, this is just pure, unabashed, good old American ignorance popping its head up – there was one woman who said she voted for Alvin Greene because the name reminded her of Al Green – ‘American Idol for Prez’, anyone?
