Rick Perry continues to poll well, and a CNN/ORC International Poll released ahead of tonight’s debate shows the Texas statesmen leading in both theoretical votes and general electability, earning the all important “nice guy” vote.

Daily Caller Accuses Beck Of Not Sourcing; TheBlaze Releases Video Of…Beck Sourcing (UPDATE)

Beck Daily Caller video

It seems that, every few months, we get a big fight with media figures accusing each other of not sourcing each other enough. The latest Battle of Hat Tips however, features a genuine TV star wearing the hat; Glenn Beck. The Daily Caller, this morning, took the first shot in a lengthy “exclusive” quoting from such notable Conservative bloggers as Andrew Breitbart and Pamela Geller accusing Beck of using content from blogs on his TV show without giving proper credit.

HuffPo Caves To Liberal Pressure, Removes Andrew Breitbart From Front Page

Tea Party Rally

Looks like the golden era of bipartisanship at the Huffington Post has ended, no more than two weeks after it started. The publication turned many heads after agreeing to publish a post by conservative rabble-rouser Andrew Breitbart on the recent NPR/James O’Keefe kerfuffle, initially standing by the editorial decision. In light of Breitbart’s recent comments on Van Jones, however, HuffPo spokesman Mario Ruiz announced today they would no longer promote him.

MSNBC Asks: Is Decision Points Selling Because People Hate George W. Bush?

Picture 3 video

In the battle of the presidential memoirs, George W. Bush is gaining some significant ground on his predecessor, selling almost as many copies of Decision Points in two months as President Bill Clinton sold of his in two years. Why would Americans be so eagerly purchasing the product? One suggestion on MSNBC is that, maybe, people just hate Bush more.

Earlier today we reported that a Muslim cabdriver was stabbed last night by a passenger in an apparent hate crime. The suspect is Michael Enright, a 21-year-old film student at the School of Visual Arts, originally from Brewster, NY. Mediaite has obtained videos that he made about a veteran suffering Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Gawker Can Call Joe Francis ‘Douche,’ But Can They Call Him ‘Rapist’?

When Gawker brought in the coming end of the decade by running a “douche of the decade” poll, the winner, Girls Gone Wild honcho Joe Francis, was not pleased. He didn’t especially object to the “douche” label, but to another, more loaded word they used to describe him: rapist. Francis’ back-and-forth with Gawker’s legal department is revealing in many ways, and raises the question of what, if anything, the gossip site can’t get away with:

Obama Should Take A Page From ‘Schoolhouse Rock’

Considering how much success Glenn Beck has had with his chalkboards, visuals are probably something President Obama should consider since at this point the health care bill has become so mangled this summer no one has any idea anymore what it contains. What the President needs is some Schoolhouse Rock.

Van Jones Goes Quietly Into Slow Labor Day News Weekend

Is there a better time to bury news than Saturday night of a sleepy holiday weekend? Probably not —by Tuesday, this will be a two-day-old story that will be pushed aside in favor of focusing on Obama’s scary, propagand-tastic speech to America’s children. Even the Sunday shows didn’t get into it too deep. Such is the holiday weekend news cycle.
