AC 360, Situation Room Only CNN Shows To Escape 4th Place Finish Thursday Night

Cable news ratings, July 21, 2011:

•CNN’s Situation Room and AC 360 (without the vacationing Anderson Cooper) were the only CNN programs to avoid a fourth place finish among viewers 25-54 Thursday night, with 360 taking second place at 10 p.m., and Sit Room landing in third place at 6 p.m. In the ten o’clock matchup, 360 had an average audience of 285,000 viewers in the demo, well ahead of MSNBC’s Ed Schultz (254,000)

•In the back-and-forth 8 p.m. contest for second place behind Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell narrowly beat HLN’s Nancy Grace–finishing with an average audience of 264,000 viewers 25-54, just 2,000 more than Grace.

What Mark Joyella’s creepy love for Anderson Cooper (plus hes paid by CNN to pimp a ratings loser) is that CNN’s ratings are HIGHER this week without Anderson Cooper. Mary Joyella should maintain an arms length with CNN and its personalities, he should NOT be tweeting them, partying with them or promoting them. It’s called conflict of interest unless he does it for all and he clearly does NOT treat all equally.

BTW, John King was in @ 10 last night, not sure why Mark’s emotional love for Anderson couldn’t bring him to reveal that little tidbit either.
