Amazing Video Captures Intensity Of Japan Earthquake As It Happens
Sometimes, the real power in a video isn’t the image, it’s the sound. That’s the case in a compilation video assembled by CNN that captures the intense earthquake as it happened. If you can, turn up the volume as you watch and see if your body doesn’t feel the impulse to take shelter. It’s scary stuff. And no words could describe it the way the natural sound on this video does.
In one clip, executives in an office building run for cover as the building shakes in a truly frightening way.
It looks and sounds as if the entire building might collapse–exactly the fear of a man in another clip. Elsewhere, a Japanese supermarket rocks as the quake hits. Like the aftermath pictures, this kind of video tells you a lot without a single reporter or anchor helping you out. It’s brutal, it’s honest, and it’s immediate. It makes your heart hurt for the people affected.
