Chris Brown’s Grammy Performance: Q*bert-Inspired Stage And An Insane Backflip

video

Chris Brown, nominated for three Grammys, put on a psychedelic dance and song show Sunday night at the Grammys, performing on a stage that looked like a cross between the classic arcade game Q*bert and the background of Super Mario Bros. 3. He sang “Turn Up The Music” and “Beautiful People” before doing a backflip from at least 15 feet off the ground to top things off.

Watch a clip of Brown’s performance below, courtesy of CBS:

It’s a nice place for black white sing’les, to interact with each other…no bounds or extremes in front of true love.

yup the 1% in the entertainment industries get all the breaks while the 99% that buy their crap get the shaft.

When you sell millions of records or make millions$$$for somebody you get a pass also.

Somewhere, Ike Turner is watching and wondering where his standing ovation is.
There was a time when society had standards and shunned creeps like this.

Sadly Ike is not alone, there is a long list who have followed in his footsteps; musicians, TV stars, movie stars and numerous sports heroes and politicians:

Joe Budden, Floyd Mayweather, Nicolas Cage, Mel Gibson, Terrence Howard, Bobby Brown, Jason Kidd, James Brown, Brandon Marshall, Miles Davis, Charlie Sheen, Gary Dourdan, Jim Brown, Sugar Ray Leonard, Aaron Hall, Wesley Snipes, Darryl Strawberry, Moses Malone , Dwight “Doc” Gooden, Elijah Dukes, Lawrence Phillips, El Debarge.

Back in the day, a prominent politician was in Northern California for a fundraiser.  After entertaining his mistress in a wealthy enclave near an army base, the politician and the woman appeared on the balcony in robes.  They soon got into a argument and the politician struck her, she lost her balance and the politician caught her.  The woman was quickly and discreetly ushered out of the residence. Later, this man would become the President Of The United States.

I’m not sure if society has become more forgiving or forgetful or just plain don’t care anymore. My personal comment below is directed towards Chris’s ability to sing and dance and not his personal shortcomings.

It’s the Grammys and this “professional” had to lip synch.

Strong chance that performance will be parodied (possibly on The Soup)

I watched for a few minutes but just couldn’t take it. Is this really considered music now?  How sad.
I flipped back & forth waiting to see Adele. That was it for me. The rest was pretty much trash.
