In this day and age anytime you send an email to anyone, even if marked private, its on the servers, possibly forever archived, and you lose control of it. Whether its a picture, joke, or insulting your boss, anything sent electronicaly that could be harmful to you is sent at your own risk. You want to keep it private, show them in person and don’t write it down. Gee, that’s kind of like what Breitbart did. Should he have known the studio had a video live feed? Absolutely. There is a difference between sending an e-mail to some one and putting something up on a web site for every one. Weiner did not do that, or intend to do that. This is exactly the comparison. Lee did almost identical acts (save for the graphic nature) and he exited dutifully when found out. The whole reason this has burst into a media maelstrom is not the prurient press, it was Weiner’s bold lying about the issue. He charged a hacker as responsible, he attacked those reporting what he knew to be the truth, and he essentially demanded that people look deeper into the issue.
