Hannity And Tucker Carlson Battle Austan Goolsbee Over Obama ‘Demagoguing’ The GOP
Sean Hannity tonight mocked the upcoming automatic sequestration as President Obama‘s “Mayan apocalypse” and took on Obama’s apparent demonization of his Republican rivals. During a heated discussion with Austan Goolsbee and Tucker Carlson, Hannity said that if Obama is going to keep name-calling and lobbing attacks at conservatives, he might as well refer to the president as a “thief.”
Hannity brought up a video of Obama pledging to veto any avoidance of the automatic cuts, turning the tables on an administration accusing the GOP of forcing the nation into the sequestration fight. Goolsbee told Hannity that the context of those previous Obama comments were in response to Republicans trying to adjust where the automatic cuts would apply. Hannity derisively called the sequester Obama’s “brilliant idea.”

Hannity went after Obama for constantly attacking the GOP over the economy and education, referring to him as “President Demagogue.” Carlson bemoaned how Obama had promised to be honest with the people, but instead is taking to make his Republican opponents look almost villainous. Hannity said that if Obama is going to keep accusing conservatives of wanting dirty air and water, he might as well call Obama a “thief.”
Goolsbee laughed, saying Hannity has repeatedly called Obama such (and worse) in the past. Carlson told Goolsbee Obama is “not serious” about cutting spending, citing the president’s refusal not to cut the Head Start program.
