Jon Stewart Covers Eight News Stories In Ten Minutes (Complete With Science Project!)
You know it’s a bountiful week of news when even Jon Stewart feels overwhelmed. On last night’s Daily Show, Stewart did his best to cover every single news story in detail, which meant some rapid-fire analysis of floods, spills, bombs, riots, racial profiling and questionable fashion complete with the second-grade science project equivalent of the Gulf oil spill and a racial profiling test Florida Congressional candidate Dan Fanelli failed.
This is probably one of the newsiest Daily Show segments in recent memory, if only because it’s also one of the newsiest news cycles in quite a while. Stewart manages to cover the Greek riots, the failed Times Square bombing, the Gulf oil spill, the Nashville floods, the short-lived 900-point Dow Jones crash, Florida Congress candidate Dan Fanelli‘s racial profiling ad, Roland Martin‘s ascot, and even some time left over to touch on the George Rekers “rentboy” scandal.
