Jon Stewart Covers Eight News Stories In Ten Minutes (Complete With Science Project!)

video

You know it’s a bountiful week of news when even Jon Stewart feels overwhelmed. On last night’s Daily Show, Stewart did his best to cover every single news story in detail, which meant some rapid-fire analysis of floods, spills, bombs, riots, racial profiling and questionable fashion complete with the second-grade science project equivalent of the Gulf oil spill and a racial profiling test Florida Congressional candidate Dan Fanelli failed.

This is probably one of the newsiest Daily Show segments in recent memory, if only because it’s also one of the newsiest news cycles in quite a while. Stewart manages to cover the Greek riots, the failed Times Square bombing, the Gulf oil spill, the Nashville floods, the short-lived 900-point Dow Jones crash, Florida Congress candidate Dan Fanelli‘s racial profiling ad, Roland Martin‘s ascot, and even some time left over to touch on the George Rekers “rentboy” scandal.

And with the, the left has all the news they need for the day.

  • The Real Royal King

Well, Michelle, I have to say that Roland Martin in an ascot has far more news value that The Gretch and Douchey’s last conspiracy theory, Cavuto fawning over some crackpot (White) Tea Partier or Beck’s contentless emotional appeal of the day.

  • MichelleF

    Hey King,
How did you like the conspiracy theory floated by msnbc that the AZ policeman that was shot was a hoax to garner support the the immigration bill?

BTW, How about watching Beck’s show today and comment on the substance of what he says.

The most trusted named in news. Period. If you can trust a comedian (Beck), we can trust one too.

Beck said today on his radio show that the progressives are the most racist people in American history.

That is your hero throwing around the race card.

Stewart goes for laughs based on ridicule and disrespect. That’s a sure thing for those blessed with good timing and limited talent. Where’s his substance? He’s starting to look to me like a kinder gentler Olbermann. Does either man bring anything but mockery and derision to the table? Is anyone else beginning to tire of one or both?
