Jon Stewart Tries To Contain Himself Over Rick Santorum’s Ad Featuring Brown Liquid

video

Jon Stewart struggled to keep it together on Thursday’s Daily Show, affirming that they were not going to make fun of Rick Santorum over the double-meaning synonym for his last name. “He’s a serious contender now, and we ourselves recognized two months ago, when I announced on this program, we will no longer be making jokes about the alternate meaning of Santorum’s name,” Stewart attested. “Yeah! No matter how tempting it would be!”

Stewart did not anticipate that a news anchor would utter the phrase, “Rick Santorum’s surge is spreading!” As Stewart chewed up his script, he thought he could distract himself by watching the Republican hopeful’s latest ad, yet nearly tossed his cookies when he realized the ad’s contents.

“So Mitt Romney attacks Santorum and ends up with…brown liquid on his shirt!” Stewart cringed. “This is entrapment!”

Dan Savage is a loser and a bully and a creep…. but this bit was pretty funny.

  • Anonymous

Yeah, that ad is funnier than when the Tea Party named themselves teabaggers.

  • OSTL

    Ties?

  • Anonymous

I’m sorry, but for Democrats this is really shaping up to be the election of schadenfreude. What a mess.

  • Anonymous

Ewwww.  Romney got splattered with Santorum.

  • Anonymous

Did his campaign hire the Onion to do their ads?

WOW!  Way to completely ignore obama’s rich guy donors Stewart

  • Anonymous

He does, does he.  He was perpetrating the vile sludge that savage did to Santorum and that’s fine with you.  Savage – the biggest freaking bully, and you and Stewart’s hero.

You guys are just so special.  You can’t even imagine how each word you post and each foul statement Stewart makes just indicates that you have no code of conduct.  Pathetic excuses for humans.

  • Anonymous

Foul? Vile? Bully? Pathetic? These are your moronic standards and morals. These are not the standards and morals of those of us who have a brain and actually use it. So please take you code of conduct…lube it up real nice…and fist yourself with it.

Make sure to keep that aspirin between you legs.

  • Verreauxii

Hahaha…the bully was Santorum. Savage just out-flanked him.

P.S.: I do not agree with glitter bombing. Shout, yell, do whatever but don’t cross the personal space.

  • Verreauxii

Teabag the WH (before they teabag you) was their motto, right? Guffaw.

  • Verreauxii

I like how it says in the ad that Romney’s shots have “backfired” then camera moves to show the brown liquid splatter on his shirt. Truly priceless.

  • Anonymous

Seek, are you mad because of the santorum your guy left inside you on you first & lat date?

  • Anonymous

I actually don’t mind the glitter bombing. At least its funny. The mic check is sort of obnoxious though.

A whole new definition of ‘clueless’ should be applied to Ricky Sh!t’s crew.

  • Anonymous

Ha, Jon Stewart called all of his followers “petulant children”!  I could not agree more.

  • Anonymous

Wow, maybe Stewert cares about things that are actually funny instead of things that Republicans obsess about.

  • Anonymous

What a frothy mess the Republican’t primaries have become. This is funny but also getting sad at the same time.

  • Anonymous

No, he called those doing the glitter bombing petulant children. Nice reach & fail tho.

Even if she puts the aspirin between her legs, it will get absorbed by the santorum leaking from her @$$.

I agree with you Rat boy, No need to worry about the poor right? I mean it makes a lot more sense to spend 35,000$ on a piece of chicken Instead of a starving family.

Way to set the example Democrats.

  • Anonymous

Oh, I get it now it was us right wingers doing the glitter bombing right?

  • Anonymous

Do you guys realize how vile and disgusting your comments are?

  • Anonymous

Rick Santorum may not win the election, but he’s a better man than those of you that viciously and unfairly attack him with your crude sexual comments. It’s not mature, it’s not funny to anyone above a 5th-grade comprehension level, and it says a lot more about you than him.

So….You equate a gay sex act with insulting someone? If gays are equal, and gay sex is normal and healthy, then why do you laugh at the term “teabag” as if its an insult?

Unless of course, you are a gay hater overcompensating for your latent homosexual tendencies, as is common with most homophobes.

I dont agree with Santorum on much, but its disgusting people like you that have made him a VICTIM. if anything, hes a sympathetic figure because you all are so repugnant and vicious regarding him- all you are doing is proving him right in the eyes of his supporters.

Next time you post something like that, I dare you to post your name and address- that would clean up your posts real fast, you scumbag. Go away- you are doing your cause no favors.

  • Hout Bosques

Do you have the slightest clue as to what Obama’s up against this year? He’s going to get outspent even if it’s Santorum; if it’s Romney, it’ll be on the order of maybe 5 times. Plus as party leader, Obama’s expected to fundraise for both the House & Senate Democratic caucuses, or else a lot of the Dem candidates will get inundated in oppo ad cash, & there’ll be zero chance of the Dems taking back the House or retaining the Senate, leave aside both. My own contributions tend to be on the order of 3 to 5 percent of that, total, IOW for everyone I support, from president down to 14th back-up public appliance safety inspector, but if I had the kind of do-re-mi where $35 large represented effectively what 1% of that does for me in reality world, you bet I’d be considering pulling an Anastos:

I used to like Jon Stewart, but this perpetuation of filth is really disgusting.  Some gay piece of scum created this issue a while back and people with seemingly no morals, like Stewart, are happy to make it mainstream America.       It is sad we have been dragged down into the gutter like this.     I am old enough to remember when people in America showed a level of respect for one another, no more.

Are you sure you aren’t talking about Sanitarium?  Mr. Savage’s Google “attack” on the Rickster was in response to his homophobic statement comparing same-sex marriage to pedophilia and bestiality (“man on dog” sex).  It’s not bullying when the bullied fight back.  It’s sweet revenge.  It just goes to show you how odious yet obtuse our presidential hopeful is.  This latest commercial is not befitting of a president.  A christianist schoolyard bully perhaps, but not one hoping to lead one of the most dynamic countries in the world.

I don’t agree.  I’m A Gay (and proud of it, thank you very much) and I laugh every time I hear the term “teabag” but not because it’s an insult.   It’s funny.  And kinda sexy in a sophomoric kinda way.

Do you remember this type of incessant ridicule – day after day, from virtually every Media Matters/Obama outlet, both news and entertainment – over Hillary and Barack when they ran?
It’s been this way with Republicans.

This is moderately funny man singing the same tired song every night.
He’s part and parcel of the orchestrated campaign to manipulate public opinion by creating false and derisive narratives about Republicans.

People like Stewart are either too incompetent or insecure to apply their talents in a fair and honest way, so they resort to simplistic characterizations and stereotypes, which appeal to their simpleton audiences.

Yes, and he gets headlined here regularly…of course, his show beats all of MSNBC prime time line up and all of CNN prime time line up – so his schtick is more newsworthy than the mess we hear on those other two cable channels.

It is funny to a lot of people older than five, I am sure. It is hilarious. You know why? Because the man is a bigot who clearly believes what he says. He is not going to become president and he thinks he is, which is also funny. He is too stupid not to alienate women, huge voting block. He annoys everyone except rednecks. By carrying on about gays, he invites ridicule. He is comedy fodder, in short. He is a better man then no one. Better men go around saying 12th century BS about women, blacks and gays? When did that happen? He is a silly man caught in the lime light. That is all he is.

Get your story straight. Either he is incompetent or a Kenyan sleeper destroying America.  If he is incompetent, then America is safe. You certainly don’t want him to be successful at destroying America, do you? Or, is your claim that he wants to do good but is incompetent? If he wants to do bad, then you should be happy he is incompetent.

There are very funny conservative comedians, but liberals have no sense of humor unless it’s at the expense of their political enemies.

If Obama gets four more years, will Hispanics be required to pray to him, or can they still pray to Christ?

  • scoobydoo_05735

Really? You want to talk code of conduct? Newt is a noted cheater that has been married three times, as well as fined for ethics violations, where does that fit in? Santorum has been both racist and homophobic in his run so far, not so much on codes there. Romney isn’t concerned with the poor, ignoring a large section of this country. Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr. all committed impeachable actions. Conduct code? If so, scary. Your problem is that a comedian tells more truth than ANYONE in your camp can muster.

People that compare gay sex to pedophelia and bestiality are the lowest of the low, especially when they do it to pander for votes.  Santorum deserves what he gets, and to call out a columnist for bullying a Senator who’s mantra is to withold rights to a group he deems unworthy is laughable. Ha ha.  Might I remind you, Santorum is Senator who hates gays.  Who’s the bully again?

  • Anonymous

Or he could just come on Mediaite and compare an half hour comedy on the Comedy Channel to entire news networks.  How is he more newsworthy?  Did he have any breaking stories?  If this is just because of ratings, does that make CSI more newsworthy than Fox News?

For all the snark commenting of Stewart being the “news for liberals” from the right, you sure go out of your way to equate him to news.

Are you really that naive, or do you not realize the price tag for the meal was a way to raise money for re-election, not simply an overpriced meal? (The same way both parties have been raising money for decades.) A $500 per person donation provides “premium” seating, while $2,500 for a couple secures two “premium” seats and the guarantee of one photo opportunity and $5,000 will ensure the same for a table of 10. – (I repeat, for a congressman.) Outrageous!!!!!!

  • corri anderson

So far everything I’ve read of yours, including your alias, shows me that you do not get it.  My guess is you are really 16 years old.

  • Verreauxii

My laughter had to do with the idiots using the term not knowing of it’s sexual colloquialism. It had NOTHING to do with gays. BTW, both homosexual and heterosexual couples TEABAG. So, your attempt to tie ME and that term to homophobia miserably backfired.

  • Anonymous

It’s sad that Savage’s “It Get’s Better” program for LGBT youth doesn’t get more press.  These kids, who are often bullied, or worse, deserve and need help and support.

  • Anonymous

    Ahem, hardly.

  • Anonymous

There has to be some vaseline on that lens your looking back through.

  • Anonymous

You are on defense now and I wiped that smile right off your face. Id say it worked like a charm.

And if “teabagging” isnt gay exclusive, then technically neither is “santorum” but we all know both references are to gay sex acts.

I know its difficult because you are both hate filled and stupid, but you cant play dumb here. nice try.

  • Anonymous

I actually can navigate the internet a little too well- I was trying to bait you into giving me your personal info- I didnt realize you already did voluntarily.

I know your name, where you live, what you do, and by the looks of things, how many bills you are pushing. Over 300 right?

By the way, you are a little too rapist looking to be making fisting comments, fatso. So take it easy.

I’ll take it easy on you though. it cant be easy being a Cleveland sports fan- it must take a toll on your mental health. No wonder you are attracted to the democrats- you are a loser magnet.

  • Anonymous

To his supporters, absolutely. Because of what was done to his name.

Im sorry if you are too biased or stupid to see where the other side is coming from, but every time you make a “santorum” joke you win him sympathy.

for example, if someone coined the name “Wojtowicz” to mean getting fisted by someone over 300 lbs, then you would probably feel bad for NotoriousWojo right?

  • Anonymous

And if I were gay, whats wrong with that?

Why are you implying that, to insult me?

    You are a homophobe.

  • Anonymous
  • Anonymous

I disagree. In no way is “teabagger” just a sophomoric term used lightheartedly.

Its intent is to insult the person being called that. Just like calling a democrat a “demoncrat” or something similar of that nature.

Except, in this case its a gay sex act being used to demean, which is just as homophobic as if you called the tea party a bunch of pillow biters.

I can already hear Clovis say :

“BUT BUT, STRAIGHT PEOPLE CAN BITE PILLOWS TOO!- THATS NOT GAY!”

But we all know it is, just like teabagging is a gay reference. and when you use a gay reference to try to insult someone you are a homophobe. Lets put a stop to this hatred and use of gay slurs to put people down once and for all.

  • 12voltman1

Well said. He is nothing but a bully.

  • 12voltman1

My apoligies. It should have been directed at stephen W

Did I say there was something wrong with being gay?  I have two gay friends (one male and one female).  You’re the one insinuating that “teabagging” is gay sex or the inference of someone being gay is an insult.

  • Verreauxii

Amazes me how you have the uncanny ability to see invisible words. Typical rightwing dbag. There was absolutely nothing homophobic about my remarks. You are the idiot who assumed (incorrectly) that the mockery behind ‘teabagging’ (in my post) was about denigrating gay people. Guess what? Straight people teabag each other. The humor was seeing conservative people who thought they were insulting Democrats become the butt (pun intended) of their own joke by using a graphic sexual practice.

You truly are a dunce. Santorum refers to a substance, a product of anal sex. A sexual act not restricted to gay people. You are one ignorant teabagger. (Just in case you are slow, the term teabagger in this instance is being used politically.)

  • Anonymous

    I’m not that handsome.

  • Anonymous

sophomoric and pathetic if that’s all you have.

  • corri anderson

Only paranoid simpletons think gays want to convert society to their sexual preference.  Oh, Stephen, I think the coast is clear, you can come out of the closet now and lead the life God intended for you,

  • corri anderson

Your spelling is at a grade three level there Dead-Hands.  Never too late to go back to school.

  • corri anderson

When you say “losers vile tactics” you need to add an apostophe because it is possessive in this context.  What you meant to say was “loser’s vile tactics of hate.”  Also, try using the occasional comma; just because what you say is idiotic doesn’t mean it has to look idiotic at first glance.  Your welcome, jackass.

  • corri anderson

Teabagging is not a gay reference.  Just like anal sex, anyone can do it. The joke on the Tea Party is that they described a sexual act without knowing it.  Kind of like when they threw money at a guy with Parkinson’s and told him to get a job.  They didn’t know better, kind of like their politics on the whole.  Comes with the territory of being out of touch.

  • corri anderson

Don’t any of you social conservatives know how to appropriately use an apostrophe?

  • corri anderson

Listen doubtme, you complain about us having a laugh at Santorum, and then you make a personal attack on one of the commenters on this page.  Maybe you shouldn’t call people “hypocrite.”  You should also lighten up douche.

  • corri anderson

How about Romney donates the nearly 900k he’s raised in Tennessee to starving families instead of spending it on attack ads?  Oh right, the very poor are doing fine.  Dead Hands, you are an intellectual light-weight.

I think they have to pray to Obama, which makes sense because he exists.

No shit Sherlock, we had 8 years of the most incompetent President the nation has ever seen with W, and were rewarded with a bs 3 trillion dollar war and the Homeland Security Act.  But hey, you voted for him twice so obviously you’re not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

His show was created as a way to mock the ridiculously biased Fox “news” programs, a way to balance the insane with the inane  Just because the best you can do is Anne Coulter (yes, she is a comedienne) doesn’t require Jon to play nice.

You gotta do better than links to Fox News.  That may be where you get all your news from, but no one will take you seriously.

I bet you know almost nothing about Che, or about US involvement in South and Central America during his lifetime.  I’m only saying that because your posts are so stupid.  PS- The Cold War is over…you don’t scare anyone with your allusions to communism.

“People like Stewart are either too incompetent or insecure to apply their talents in a fair and honest way, so they resort to simplistic characterizations and stereotypes, which appeal to their simpleton audiences.” You are hilarious, the way you generalized about Jon’s audience and comedians (People like Stewart) in a sentence criticizing him for making generalizations. Very clever use of irony, well played Norbit, you are a genius! Either that or a moron.

Another internet fail….aww poor baby. The best one I like is how you flame yourself and then call me a rapist. But again back to your original babble. Keep making threats and throwing around the slander it seems to be working well for Mr. Frothy. Maybe you have a career in politics in your future if you can pry yourself away from GED classes.

The difference between me and idiots like yourself is I encourage your kind. You see when you are educated it’s fun to toy with those who aren’t very bright. Your kind babble on about morals and values when many of you are the problem. People like you allowed the rape of thousands of young children under the guise of Christianity. Probably why you have a fascination with throwing the word rape around. The only question would be is if you were the Altar Boy or the Priest.

  • Mr. Awesome!

DAMN PEOPLE! GET BACK ON TOPIC, THERE IS A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION COMING UP! Ignorance and apathy wont fix our problems, we have to be engaged and serious and ask the tough questions, like:

If a person is sexually aroused by looking at their own naked image, does that make them gay-or just incredibly narcissistic??

I’m not askin’ for myself, it’s for my friend…BOB…Yeah…Ole Bobberino…

Jon Stewert is as funny as looking inside a trash can outside of an abortion clinic.
If he is any more to he left he will be off the page.

You sure told him! I like how you made a mockery of whatever his argument was by taking it apart piece by piece and then offering a rational counterpoint! That was awesome!

Here is a Conservative Argument that makes sense:

Economic Growth comes from taxing the largest part of the population rather than the smallest part;I.E. the “Job Creators.” And studies show that there is significantly more growth (as a percentage of gross domestic profit) when the tax burden falls on the middle class rather than the “job Creators.”

That was an argument. That was an accurate argument. Yes I left out the part that says:

:This only works in thriving economy when unemployment as between 3 and 5% I.E As close to Full employment as you can get),

but to accurately characterize a Conservative I wanted to leave out the pertinent information to mislead my badly educated flock of gun toting simpletons who vote against their own best self interest.

O I forgot to mention how Entitlement Programs kill incentive to work, so I can dodge the question of corporate subsidies (Welfare for the rich).

OK so here is the part where you call me a liberal douche-bag with a bad sense of history who thinks he knows it all. Because your argument is basically wrong for our current crises and you don’t actually have the wits to think of a counter argument to anything I’ve written: Let me give you started on insults:

Pencil-neck, small penis, liberal (Not actually an insult)-O I might have spelled something wrong in my haste-that is always a good start I do hate waiting for spell check.

Yeah, must be really friggin’ HILARIOUS for the Santorum kids, too, huh?  Nothing like having your name compared to fecal matter when you’re in the playground or summer camp when you’re 10 or 12.

Yea, Dan Savage is just fcuking HILARIOUS!!!

Gee, can’t really imagine why there is any resistance to gay rights when articulate, thoughtful spokesmen like Savage so well represent the true of nature of the Gay “community”.  He’ll rank right up there with Gandhi…MLK…a real leader and role model.

  • Anonymous

If you had read the actual QUOTE instead of what the “Savage” gay community said he said, you’ would now you’re WRONG.

What he said was, “That’s not to pick on homosexuality.  It’s (homosexuality) NOT man on dog or man on child.”

His other comments (“If you find a right to privacy, then there is a right to incest, there is a right to prostitution, etc.) are DIRECTLY out of the minority opinion in Lawrence v. TX.

Of course, you’ll NEVER read this in the left-wing, Savage media echo chamber.  After all, Rick Santorum is a pro-life, conservative who opposes same-sex “marriage”.  And we all know that THOSE people have no right to voice their opinion in the wondeful world of the Fascist Left.

  • Anonymous

As opposed to the Santorum kids, who doubtless suffer bullying and abuse daily because of Dan Savage’s vicious slander.

Oh, wait…they’re Christians….and their Dad is a conservative, so they’re fair game for the Gay Mafia.

  • Verreauxii

Yeah…Santorum here is the real victim. What about all those kids with gay parents? What about the kids killing themselves for being taunted as being weirdos because of rhetoric propagated by the likes of Santorum? I will take their welfare over the sanctimonious dbag’s children any frigging day. At least they can change their fvcking name.

  • WiddleBabyDanielson

     They are not Republicans, dummy.

Yeah, I’m sure those suicides are in no way attributable to actual homosexuality, now that a political movement (as opposed to science) has decreed that it is “normal” and not at all the mental illness it had been decreed to be prior to 1973.  I’m sure that the astonishingly high rate of suicide, drug abuse, and alcoholism among homosexuals in Denmark (particularly among men) where homosexuality has been “normal” for half a century must be attributable to their watching Fox News on the Danish language feed.

Its simply NOT possible that, perhaps, storming the APA in 1973 and forcing Homosexuality to be removed from the DSM as a paraphylia might have been  a really bad idea because it has denied almost two generations of homosexuals insurance coverage for  counseling and therapy that might have been helpful in coping with the consequences of their sexual orientation because, after all, homosexuality is now “normal”.

No; must be those Fox News commentators and Right Wing politicians who are sending subliminal messages understandable only by homosexuals that’s inducing them to commit suicide — I mean, all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding, right?

If you thought about it, you would realize that the “victims” here are kids who are the unwilling captives of a radical political movement who insist that they MUST sit and take the bites from Bull Connor’s dogs and the beatings on the Edmund Pettus Bridge because the Gay Mafia’s “leaders” have deigned it  – whether the kids like it or not.   (After all, you ve closed off counseling or mental health coverage for homosexuality because its “normal”, right? )

The victims are kids like Larry King, who — had he been counseled — might have restrained his flamboyant and promiscuous homosexuality, and chosen not to wear makeup and high heels to school or to flirt with and proposition straight male classmates.

But when Larry’s mother asked that he be counseled and ordered not to make such a distractive spectacle of  himself in class, the school — following the Gay Mafia’s playbook — told her that he must be allowed to “express his sexuality in whatever fashion he desires.”  It got him killed by another boy, 14,  whose own adolescent sexuality and sense of self was repeatedly challenged by Larry’s advances.

What the Gay Mafia tells young people is; do whatever you like; be whatever you want to be with respect to your homosexuality and consider it “normal”, regardless of the setting or opprobrium — even at absurdly young ages (Larry King was just 15).  It teaches them that society must accommodate them, first, and the considerations, sensitivities, and emotions of all the other children and teachers and administrators — not to mention the gangbangers on the corner– must treat their sexuality as “normal”, to the exclusion of anything else (and irrespectve of how distracting their behavior might be.)

I’m not buying it, any more than I would accomodate some kid who said he or she was a budding dominatrix/dominator and showed up to school dressed in S&M regalia.

Get real. I don’t want any kid picked on and I sure as hell don’t want a kid to off himself.  But having known a lot of homosexuals who were deeply unhappy, compulsive, and emotional, I think its a goddamn crime what the Gay Mafia did in 1973.  It is not a “normal” state; it requires counseling and assistance to cope.  And you guys have denied it to the most needy victims.

You wouldn’t read them even had you all the time in the world, so effectively do they skewer the homosexualist position.

The result of sex as intended by God is procreation; the result of sodomy — the signature act of men performing homosexual acts upon each other — is a sickening fluid admixture which Dan Savage has succeeded in naming after Rick Santorum. Yet for all the smug self-satisfaction Savage surely secures saying such, how can the subsequent thought of the actual sickening fluid admixture itself induce any feeling other than loathing? Contemplation of the act leads only to the conclusion that such a sickening fluid admixture is all that sodomy creates. How awful, compared to human life! Since the time of Thomas Aquinas, homosexuality has been known as “the sin that dare not speak its name.” The modern reality: The sin that dared not speak its name … won’t shut up. So it is with the sickening fluid admixture — it was best left unnamed. Now that it has been named, how can the conscious snickering about the name not give way to the subliminal realization of just how awful this creation by the act of sodomy — the signature act of male-on-male homosexuality — actually is? The wrong that Dan Savage has done goes well beyond the wrong he has specifically done to Rick Santorum. God help us all.
