‘Pimpin’ For Paul: CNN Interviews A Group Of Prostitutes Endorsing Ron Paul

video

A couple of weeks ago, news broke that the employees of a Nevada-based brothel are eager supporters of Ron Paul. Fortunately, the brothel in question is the Bunny Ranch, the one spotlighted in the HBO series Cathouse and these women are the most camera-friendly prostitutes this side of Julia Roberts. This is fortunate because, of course, working girls make for good television. CNN got in on that game today on the Situation Room.

In an interview, the women and their manager explain how much safer legalized prostitution is to the black market variety which is why they’re raising money for the pro-legalization Paul. They’ve created a “Pimpin’ for Paul” program in which johns can donate money to the candidates campaign. Of course, there’s the whole problem of getting Paul’s people to accept the donations once they have it…

It’s a fun segment but no where near the best televised appearance the Bunny Ranch has ever had. That title, of course, falls on the Cathouse musical episode which was indeed a thing that actually happened and was absolutely the most wonderfully stupid thing I’ve ever watched. Seriously, if you ever see it on HBO On Demand or something, watch it. It’s everything you imagine and so much less.

Wait, what was I talking about again? Oh yeah, Ron Paul or whatever.

CNN continues to compete with Comedy Central for the pea-brain audience.

Just sounds to me as if Paul appeals to all walks of life.. and that’s a bad thing why?
We ain’t all the 1%… We need someone that cares for ALL Americans in any position.

I have nothing against Adults working at legal brothels for the sake of public health and personal freedom. But most of the woman shown in this clip seemed uninviting and not lovely.I don’t believe this will help Paul that much. It would be more likely to hurt him at least in the eyes of the religious moral minority.

I think this was a news story 3 weeks ago. I don’t think there are any federal laws stopping a state from legalizing prostitution. I hope people read this and realize that less women and kids have been trafficked ra ped murdered because prostitution is legal and regulated at the state level and if we allowed states to regulate drugs that our national violent crime rate would come down as well. Ron Paul is polling 3rd place in sc at 20% that is some news.

I’m sure CNN could have found some “Pimps for Obama” if they looked. CNN has been screwing over Paul for awhile, I’m not surprised.

    lol You know..

Paul supports legislation to let waiters get their tips WITHOUT TAX WITHHOLDING on them.

How about you do a story on that?

    Oh and Harry Reid?

Just because you outlaw it, doesn’t mean people won’t do it.

It’ll just push it underground and make it more dangerous for those who still do.

You know – the same argument you’d make against abortion being illegal.

  • Anonymous

What I don’t understand is… WHY DOESN’T EVERYBODY HATE HARRY REID???

  • http://games-survival.com Justplaythegame

Why do the working class not see how good this man is? every vote counts!

    http://www.tip20.com/tax-free-tips-act/18

Ron Paul tried… it’s your “other” officials that stop this Smart man that is for ALL people in the working class… wake up America!! We been taxed to death.. it’s time for REAL change!

    Ron Paul 2012 and Beyond…

  • http://games-survival.com Justplaythegame

Im pretty sure it was put out as a hurt Paul statement.. you just got to love the media’s mind..

But in the end..it shouldn’t bother real christians.. those that just follow gods word and do not judge others.. well, if it bothers them.. they are just hypocrites and funding the all mighty dollar through their established “church”?.. not following their bible. Hmm you would think these large churches? would have smaller churches and more missionaries..
    oh sorry..I was being judgemental..

I would assume Paul to be more like the bible he reads then they are.

It will be a wonderful libertarian world when people get to pick and choose which regulation he or she wants to enforce on others and not have enforced on them, especially when it’s the same regulation.

I thought the Bunny Ranch was in financial trouble and declaring for bankruptcy?  Were they bailed out by a welfare check from President Obama or is Bain Capital investing capital to create “fee market jobs” in Nevada?

Or is it just the hetero prostitutes?
    Oooo, yeah, I went there.

CNN probably paid them to say that.  CNN is in a race with MSNBC to see who can most discredit the profession of journalism.

Ron Paul or the Pros are not news worthy. I do have something for my left wing friends that I am afraid you will miss. I will post it on this thread to be sure you don’t miss it.

Ralph Nader said the Obama administration “jumped like a cat” to crush anyone who threatened to run against their boss for the Democratic Party presidential nomination in 2012. “The retaliation is incredible,” he said.
Last April, the consumer advocate and four-time presidential candidate vowed to organize a slate of 2012 Democratic primary challengers against Barack Obama. Nader hoped as many as half-a-dozen candidates would challenge Obama in the intraparty contests, each raising a separate issue on which the Left feels it has been betrayed. He told The Hill newspaper the Obama administration saw to it that did not happen.
“I hate to say but it’s over,”he told the newspaper. “The minute any name was mentioned…they made the calls.”Nader did not elaborate on the pressure the White House exerted on those who threatened to run against Obama in the primaries.Currently, the only presidential hopeful following Nader’s model —running against Obama to raise a single issue —is pro-life activist Randall Terry, who is running for president as a Democrat.Nader,an honest gadfly, stated forthrightly that“Obama should be impeached” in March 2011. Six months later,he reiterated “the only remedy left”for Obama’s violations of the Constitution “is…impeachment.”However,he is far from the only left-wing partisan who is disappointed with Obama. Last March,Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont,an avowed socialist, said a “progressive”rival would “enliven the debate.”Congressmen Pete DeFazio and Dennis Kucinich agreed a political challenge would strengthen the party’s liberal base.On the other side of the party’s spectrum,Democratic pollsters Doug Schoen and Pat Caddell have called on Obama to step aside and allow Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2012.A growing number of Democratic voters favor measures that would effectively guarantee Obama’s defeat – as well as the removal from party leadership of this ObamAlbatross. An Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll last year found that 47 percent of Democrats “said Obama should be challenged for the 2012 nomination,” although no modern president who faced a primary challenge has been re-elected. That number includes 29 percent of voters who supported Obama during the 2008 primaries. An October WND/Wenzel Poll has found more than one-third of voters on the Left would like to see someone else as their standard bearer in the 2012 presidential election.Obama’s re-election effort, like the economy,is a media Potemkin village. He faces no primary rivals because his thuggish tactics and political threats crushed the opposition behind the scenes. The unemployed rate has “plummeted”to 8.5 percent, because Obama has shrunken the pool of workers. Everywhere,Obama is keeping up appearances that everything is well, and no one is fooled.Nader:Obama Bullied Democrats Not to Run Against Him in 2012 Primarieshttp://www.exposeobama.com  To all my left wing lets join Naders move to Impeach Obama today.

Nice try, but the rightwingers have employed this tactic for the past two years and it will never work. You forgot to mention that those two Democratic pollsters you mention (Schoen and Caddell) work for Fox News. You actually quoted a WND poll….and we are supposed to take you seriously? The UR dropped to 8.5% because 200,000+ jobs were CREATED in the month prior! http://www.bls.gov

I’m not a big Paul supporter, but CNN running this kind of story demonstrates who the REAL prostitute really is.

In fact, calling CNN a prostitute is a highly undeserved slur against the working girls they featured in an effort to slime Ron Paul.

Communist News Network, pimpin’ for President Marxist Cockroach.

Prostitution is already legal.  It’s the states and counties that outlaw it.  It is not a federal issue at all.  This is horrible journalism.

  • Anonymous

Lovely, another little attempt at smear by association.  Becasue Paul thinks you can’t legistlate against stupidity – he supports prostitution.

Just remember that these people are endorsing Paul not the other way around.    People want to be free for a whole bunch of different reasons, that’s why it’s so popular.

    LOL!

Look at the word of Nader. I can quote other polls. Nader is the one that is important not the polls. step away from corruption and join Nader in his quest to get rid of Obama. Better check the New York Times. You knowledge base is so limited. You keep posting and denying that there is a move to replace Obama on the ticket. Watch Carville closely.

.Nice try on the employment numbers you forget to mention that they shot up again after the temporary workers were laid off. Have you ever made and honest post. I deal with the unemployment lie later. Here is something from ABC I know you do not want to miss.
President Obama’s top re-election campaign strategists say winning Florida in November would be the “easiest way” to the 270 electoral votes needed to clinch a second term. But winning Florida itself is shaping up to be anything but easy, as a new Quinnipiac University poll shows. Fifty-four percent of registered Florida voters disapprove of Obama, well above the national average, while 52 percent say he does not deserve a second term. In a hypothetical matchup with GOP front-runner Mitt Romney, Obama is locked in a statistical dead heat, trailing the former Massachusetts governor 43 to 46 percent. (The poll has a margin of error of 2.6 percentage points.)
Obama’s troubles are particularly evident among one of his key constituencies – Hispanic voters – who divide almost evenly on whether to pick Romney, 46 to 45 percent. Obama won Florida’s Hispanics in 2008 with 57 percent of the vote, according to the exit poll.

Have another post for you. I want you to informed. But Republicans are wrong to fear Obama in 2012. I honestly have little idea why Republicans are afraid of the President’s prospects in 2012. Sure, he has formidable political skills, and can deliver a terrific speech. But…
the first two years of Obama’s administration have left a huge portion of his supporters deeply disillusioned; the dithering economy remains dismal for Americans who are not wealthy, and the country is now mired in not two, but three international conflicts or occupations. Mind you, I’m voting for Obama, barring unimaginable developments. For me, having a Democrat in the White House is vastly preferable to having any Tea Party-fearing Republican occupying the Oval Office.
I fear that many Democrats could stay home in 2012. President Mitt Romney would be thrilled and grateful to them. http://usliberals.about.com
But I strongly believe that Obama is beatable in 2012. The President must mend fences with certain crucial constituencies, or he’ll surely lose the election:
Obama Imperiled in 2012 by Taking Latinos for Granted
College Students Disappointed by Obama, Crucial to 2012 Election
Even if he successfully re-woos Latinos and college students back into his fawning fold, President Obama must motivate two other vital groups to flock to the polls in droves and vote for him: liberals who feel letdown by Obama’s long string of broken 2008 promises, and Independents who are appalled by Tea Party Republican extremism.

That’s quite the sophistry after your earlier misrepresentation. Why did you leave out the very important metric of job creation? Because it disabuses the little canard you were trotting out. People dropping out of the job-seeking pool happens EVERY month. Others who were out, join it. It’s cyclical. They just didn’t ALL decide to do it last month. Intellectual dishonesty. Look it up. (The seasonal hiring is a good point however…but the trend of job creation continues)

Ok…here’s something you may want to know. You may actually learn something! Florida is very important to Republicans, NOT to Democrats. Obama can LOSE Florida, LOSE Ohio, LOSE North Carolina, LOSE Virginia and LOSE Indiana (states he carried in 2008) and he would still WIN the election if he carried the other states he got in 2008. The electoral college favors Democrats!  Don’t let all the red on the map fool you. Most of those red states are lowly populated wastelands = small EC votes.

“Obama’s troubles are particularly evident among one of his key constituencies – Hispanic voters – who divide almost evenly on whether to pick Romney, 46 to 45 percent. Obama won Florida’s Hispanics in 2008 with 57 percent of the vote, according to the exit poll. ”

Here’s another example of your scant political knowledge. Florida’s “hispanics” are by and large mainly of CUBAN descent. This voting block already skews Republican and always has. The vast majority of hispanics/latinos (I know they are not interchangeable) in America are of Mexican origin and they absolutely do not support the Republican candidates. In fact, from the latest polls conducted, Obama was TROUNCING Romney by almost 50 points when it came to the latino vote in a head’s up race. When it comes to the hispanics or latinos, Obama has the edge. Romney can not win if Obama gets almost 70% of this vote (again) in 2012. He’s polling right around 67% with them right now and the meat of the election campaign has not even began to unravel.

So we can sum up the entire thing with one sentence…

    Ron Paul supports women’s rights.

Too bad that CNN and all of the other candidates, including our President, do not.

I fully expect every woman that has ever said ” my body, my choice” to now rally behind Ron Paul’s support of the sex worker.  All in the name of women’s rights and individual choice.

Truly, if there was more guys like this in Washington we would be in a lot better shape. I learned Ron Paul has a long history of working for Freedom in our nation’s capitol. Paul has consistently worked to limit the size of the federal government. He has always worked to reduce taxes. He has repeatedly supported the cause of free markets. And he has never voted to support any measure not authorized by the Constitution of the United States of America.

Unlike what I read who the Ron Paul Supporter is, Im not a “druggie” or a prostitute, I own a business, I am believe in a better America, I AM a republican, and I’m voting for this guy.

Some important facts about Ron Paul’s record:

    * He has never voted to raise taxes.
    * He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
    * He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
    * He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
    * He has never taken a government-paid junket.
    * He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
    * He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
    * He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Prostitutes have openly supported Paul’s other two Presidential bids. It’s nothing new nor will it provide any more electoral progress for the Paul candidacy.

Some are some how fooled into believing that a Ron Paul Presidency would make it more likely prostitution/drugs/gambling/whatever other vice one advocates would be legal in more states, making them feel more morally correct in their choice of professions/habits/hobbies. However, since Paul publicly advocates ‘states rights’,  his Presidency would encourage states to legislate their own morality, thus some could make prostitution have *stronger* penalties and restrict the sexual behavior of the populace further. In a Paul Presidency a state could legislate that the only permissible sex would be between a couple that’s married and then only allow the missionary position. In such a state prostitution could carry a mandatory sentence. Two strikes and your customer base would be limited to the same gender and probably your fellow ‘professionals’. (aka jail time)

Substitute your favorite addiction/hobby/vice and you have a much better picture of a Paul Presidency than he wants you to have.

    Horse feathers Marla-
Presidency would encourage states to legislate their own morality- I live in a State… not D.C.,
I want the State to decide issues, I want to have a say..D.C. does not provide choice unless your big buisness. Your advocating big buisness runs my morals/addiction/hobby/vice from D.C. where lobbyists have a nice concentrated group of ‘Representatives chosen by the corporations and controlled media allowing Representatives to have a 90-98% retention rate in the Congress and Senate.
Why would they care one iota about 330 million voters beyond election day?
If you think people will decide this election on which sexual position a State might endorse you are truley lost.

    Coward criminal propaganda.
Bottomline: Signed NDAA. Disregarding all else (upholding Patriot Act and TSA, war in Libya without Congressional approval, assassinated American citizen and 16-yr-old son, Holder’s guns out/drugs in, Solyndra, Lightsquared, etc, etc). Disregard all THAT.
    He signed NDAA.
    Impeachment.
Take your “political party” spiel back to Israel. We’re not buying it anymore.

It seems the CNN barrel has no bottom.

Hey, I can’t think of a group that works harder for the money they “earn”.  Go girls.

  • earl hickey

who are the real prostitutes?  the working girls who earn their money the old fashioned way or the CNN pimps and hos who spew out nonsense 24/7 to please their corporate masters?

  • earl hickey

If all you are asking for are more attractive “hos”  turn on CNN

  • earl hickey

CNN is already “Pimping” for BO

Ron Paul continues to be ignored yet he’s getting votes when it matters. Nobody is talking about him rising in South Carolina. The media only talks about Romney and Gingrich, as if either of those two might actually make a good president.

The Communist News Network – er … CNN – will continue to do whatever they can to attempt to smear Dr. Paul.  They don’t report that Scheuer, former CIA Chief in charge of the BinLaden unit, endorsed Ron Paul as the ONLY candidate with a sane foreign policy.  And many others, too.

CNN’s motto:  We edit; you decide.

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate with ANY sane ideas to get this country back.  Of course, you only understand his ideas if you have the intellectual capacity to understand …

And both are light years behind Fox.

Sorry. It was the Mustang Ranch and not for financial trouble at least not the way you think. The owner got into problems with their owner for tax fraud in 1999.

Thank you.  I will show this post to my wife.  She will be relieved to know that I know nothing about houses of ill repute!

Impeachment because of NDAA? By who? You seem to forget that the body that is responsible for impeaching potus voted for that bill by an almost 90% margin. Guffaw. Reactionary fool. BTW, NDAA is related to both the AUMF and Patriot Act…and Obama did issue a signing statement curbing some of it’s provisions.

The criminal propagandist reasoning goes thusly: because others are guilty of same crimes against the People, Obomba isn’t.
Spoken like a true enemy-collaborating shill.
Tell your masters that kind of nonsensical defense might fly in Israel, but it’s not flying here. Not anymore.
Keep licking those boots, coward; it’s all you’ve got left.

You are preaching to the choir. The “People” in effect created those stupid laws by voting into office, people who passed them. I don’t like those laws anymore than you do. Your tirade, however, is vacuous and does nothing to combat the status quo. You are basically being a blatherskite.

CNN is a complete “piece of shit” news organization and so is Jon Bershad for printing this kind of story. I will never watch CNN ever again.

Keep spreading the propaganda main stream media. Why don’t you read the
constitution for a change since you hide behind it so well:

IMHO, the best looking “hos” are on Faux News. Perhaps, the slogan “Pimping for Murdoch and Bill O’Silly” doesn’t have quite the zing as “Pimping for Paul.”

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/John-Acord/100000280725097 John Acord

Most of the progressives I know who supported Obama in 2008 are actively considering Ron Paul as the alternative. They know Paul is not going to provoke more wars and will directly challenge the military-industrial complex that runs both parties. They are turning their objections to Obama into action in cross-over states by voting for Paul in the Republirat primaries. I am nearly certain Ron Paul will run as a third party coalition candidate if the Republirats fail to not nominate him. I know that in November 2012 I’m voting for Paul whether he is on the ballot or not. Stop the Wars Now!

If we counted unemployment in the same manner as they did in the 40′s it would be 20%. If we counted the unemployed in the same manner as they did inthe 80′s it would be 11%. Both the Demos and the Republirats are fooling us by changing the rules on how the unemployed are counted. Don’t believe me? Then look up John Williams and his shadow statistics page.

Indeed and I guess they are going to say people do not watch porn either huh ? ( yeah., right ).

Thus tell us this.., why, if I pay someone for sex and film it.., it is porn and legal.., but, if I pay someone for sex and do not film it.., it is prostitution and illegal.. ?

Nevada is an example of States rights. Some will have it legal, some will not. What business is it of the federal government ? Even the article makes the point that the women are much safer and healthier because it is legal. ( but hey.., women only have control of their bodies when it comes to abortion.., other than that.., they do not it seems.. )
