Alcohol (especially mixed with drugs) can make you do some weird things. I have done my share of stupid myself.

Doing the rough math, you would have to down 14 drinks in an hour to blow a .31. Surprised he was functioning as well as he was. I’m impressed. At .31 most people would be squatting on the ground vomiting.

I hope you aren’t naive enough to believe I meant they were seriously campaigning or that they didn’t know the release of this would have repercussions on Ron Paul’s campaign. You are a little too sensitive if you think that calls for an insult.

A good rule of thumb.  If you are drunk and a police man of any sorts tries to ask you any questions, it is probably best not to tell them how to do their job, or how you pay their salary, or how unconstitutional their actions are, or say “don’t you know who I am?”

I wonder if Ron Paul supporters know how out of the mainstream they make their candidate appear when they act like total fools, let alone drunken fools.  Then again, he puts himself out of the mainstream at times, such as when he shows a willingness to follow doctrinal libertarian views to their logical conclusion in oblivious disregard for the goals of those would do us harm.  If only Paul’s better ideas on constitutional matters and a more disengaged foreign policy can be surgically removed and put in a person half his age not inclined to stubborn obstinacy and of a character to moderate.

Of course, it can’t be overlooked that an editorial decision was clearly made in this case to showcase a Ron Paul fan being an idiot.

Legally drunk in Montana and most other states in the US is .08, meaning that this guy was a walking liquor bottle. at .31, He was probably way too drunk to be responsible for himself. Hopefully he wasn’t getting ready to get behind the wheel but I won’t hold my breath on that. Montana is one of the worst states for drunk driving and I’m sure Miles City was drunk city that night.
