As for the “fart”, I believe Whoopie is semi-famous for her gaseousness. If memory serves, she did a routine about it on the talk show circuit a few years ago. Though, I personally think yesterday’s exchange was a bit of play-acting on all of their parts.

I think Frawley played ‘Bub’ on My Three Sons. When he died, Demarest took over.

Whoops! I see that William Frawley was part of the original cast of “My Three Sons”. He played “Bud O’Casey”. Now that I see it in IMDB, I remember seeing him in reruns of the show. Though my biggest memory was of “Uncle Charley”.

The show synopsis says that “Bud” was the son’s maternal grandfather and “Charlie” was his brother, which would make him the boy’s great-uncle on their mother’s side, so he wasn’t actually related to MacMurray’s character by blood.

IOW: We were both partially wrong and you learn something new every day.
Oh, and like “Lantern”, “Magister” has watched far too much TV.
