It’s the beginning of August and it feels like 100 degrees outside, so as is apparently customary, it’s time to start talking about everyone’s favorite fall treat, Pumpkin Spice Lattes. This week, the PSL news is twofold:
1. McDonald’s announced that it will begin serving its McCafe Pumpkin Spice Latte in every single one of its stores (more than 14,000) beginning on August 31st, probably to beat out Starbucks who began selling theirs on the unreasonably late date of September 8th last year. FYI, August 31st is PLD (pre Labor Day).
2. Starbucks announced that this year, its bottled Pumpkin Spice Frappuccinos which were available only at Costco last year will be available at grocery stores across the country so that everyone has easier access. But, as a bonus to those who shop for their PSFs at Costco, if you get it there you can get them in a package of twelve.
Now back to complaining about this heat…
