Joe Scarborough Torches Trump’s ‘Democratic Hoax’ Epstein Spin: ‘Murdoch’s Conservative Media Empire Is Running This!’

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough torched President Donald Trump’s attempt to dismiss the push for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files as a “Democratic hoax” by pointing out that it is billionaire mogul Rupert Murdoch’s “conservative media empire” that is breaking ground on the story.

The remarks came after the House Oversight Committee released an alleged “bawdy” birthday card Trump supposedly sent to Epstein in 2003, first reported on in July by the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal.

The card, handed over by Epstein’s estate under subpoena, includes a crude sketch of a nude woman alongside what appears to be Trump’s distinctive signature. The Journal followed up on its original reporting by publishing the image in full on Monday evening.

The White House dismissed the letter as a forgery. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted The Journal, insisting: “It’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it. This is FAKE NEWS to perpetuate the Democrat Epstein Hoax!”

Taking on the Trump White House spin, Scarborough hit back at the claim liberals were pushing the story:

It is now, again, safely, the most conservative, the most powerful conservative media organization on the planet – they are the ones who have broken this story. They are the ones who have continued reporting on this story. It is Rupert Murdoch’s own conservative media empire that is running this not not Democrats, not a Democratic hoax, not a left-wing CBS news edit or whatever they would want to say.

This is straight out of the Murdoch empire, all of it.

The row lands as Trump presses a $10 billion lawsuit against Murdoch’s media empire for its reporting.
