After Being Lectured by Caller, Limbaugh Swears He Never Took Trump Seriously on Immigration

Rush Limbaugh has been praising and defending Donald Trump for quite some time. Speeches? Loves ’em! Mixed messages? Loves ’em! Trump’s feuds with other Republicans? Loves ’em!

When a caller gave him a piece of his mind today, though, Limbaugh quickly found something he didn’t love. As it turns out, it was something he was laughing over just the other day: Trump’s big immigration flip-flop.

“You’re doing a disservice to all of us Republican primary voters who didn’t vote for Trump, that are struggling with whether or not to vote for Trump, when you diminish the impact of the single policy he ridiculed all other candidates on for over a year,” said the caller of Limbaugh’s insistence that Trump didn’t flip-flop at all. The caller went on to say that while he and others consider Trump’s run a “con job,” it isn’t right for Limbaugh to act like Trump adopting the policies he made fun of before is “no big deal.”

Limbaugh said that he still didn’t think Trump changed his position that much, but the caller snapped back, listing instances of Trump saying he planned to deport full families.

“I guess the difference is… or not the difference … I guess the thing is — this is gonna enrage you, I can choose a path here to try and mollify you — but I never took him seriously on this.”

“But […] 10 million people did,” said the caller.

Listen to the clip above to hear the caller angrily say that Trump will get “annihilated” because no one bothered to call him out for nonsensical policies early on.
