CNN Reports Explosive Device Sent to HQ Was Addressed to Former CIA Director John Brennan
CNN is reporting that the explosive device sent to their New York offices was addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan.
Wolf Blitzer took the lead on Wednesday as CNN’s DC bureau carried the network’s live broadcast after a suspicious package forced the evacuation of Time Warner Center — home to the New York offices. The anchor reported that Brennan was specifically named on the package CNN received.
Even though Brennan has appeared on the network in the past, Blitzer made note of the fact that the former CIA director is actually a contributor for MSNBC.
Correspondent Shimon Prokupecz also contributed to the segment, saying it’s possible the CNN incident is connected to the explosive devices sent to the Clinton family, George Soros and Barack Obama. Prokupecz made this claim by quoting law enforcement sources who say the bombs were all similar in design, calling them “rudimentary but functional” and saying one of them was capable of blasting out shards of glass.
