Conservative Radio Host Hugh Hewitt Praises Obama for ‘Superb’ Mosque Address

President Obama‘s address at a U.S. mosque today did not receive that many plaudits on the right, but conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt reacted to it with praise:

Hewitt elaborated in an interview with Jeb Bush today, saying, “He gave a very good speech… one that argued for religious tolerance, reminded people of various persecutions of religious minorities in our history, reminded them of our Muslim allies around the world.”

“I don’t give him compliments very often,” Hewitt said, “but he did a very good job today.”

Bush hadn’t seen it yet, but said it’s certainly important to speak out about the humanity of Muslims in reaction to, say, Donald Trump‘s proposed ban.
