Democrats continue to stage a sit-in on the House floor to demand action on gun control, and some of their Republican colleagues are starting to speak out.
Congressman Justin Amash first tweeted out this criticism of their efforts:
Democrats are staging a sit-in on the House floor. They refuse to leave until our Constitution replaces due process with secret lists.

And then his colleague Mark Walker jumped in to say this sit-in is a “disgrace” to past civil rights sit-ins:
Calling this a sit-in is a disgrace to Woolworth's. They sat-in for rights. Dems are "sitting-in" to strip them away https://t.co/uBT0cPqsjT

Now, it’s worth noting here that the sit-in today was organized by civil rights icon John Lewis, who knows a thing or two about protest.
