Greta Van Susteren Uses Al Franken Scandal to Promote Her App for Judging Public Apologies

Senator Al Franken is facing major backlash over the story about his inappropriate behavior several years ago, and Greta Van Susteren reminded Twitter that now’s as good a time as any to try out her new app.

Last week, the former news anchor released Sorry, an app that allows people to decide whether to accept or reject apologies on social media. The app can be used for a person’s individual social network, but as Van Susteren said, Franken can use it to apologize for his conduct and see how many people are willing to forgive him.

The Tweet has been deleted, but here’s what it looked like:

Van Susteren continued to engage Twitter users and talk about how her app will help read the country’s mood on whether to accept any apology from Franken:

She also defended herself from critics who clearly was not impressed with her taking the opportunity to plug her app:

Of course, if one were to look at the reactions people are sharing on Twitter, it seems America is in no mood to accept Franken’s apology any time soon.
