Hannity Doubles Down on Tapper’s ‘Allahu Akbar’ Comment After Fox News Deletes Tweet

 

Earlier tonight, CNN anchor Jake Tapper took aim at Fox News for mischaracterizing his comments explaining the phrase ‘Allahu Akbar.’

In a now-deleted tweet, Fox News claimed that “@CNN ‘s Jake Tapper Says ‘Allahu Akbar’ Is ‘Beautiful’ Right After NYC Terror Attack.” The headline of the article was also changed to “CNN’s Jake Tapper: ‘Allahu Akbar’ Can Be Said Under ‘Most Beautiful’ of Circumstances.'”

Tapper accused them of “lying” and following the “slime-coated path” of InfoWars and The Daily Caller.

But despite the network’s own backtracking, Sean Hannity reignited the attack and rebuffed Tapper’s criticisms of Fox News.

Hannity accused many in the mainstream media of “having a hard time” of getting into the mindset of terrorists. He then singled out “liberal fake news CNN’s fake Jake Tapper” for saying that the phrase “Allahu Akbar” can be used in “beautiful circumstances.”

“Tapper has since been levying multiple attacks on the Fox News channel report in the comments in context that you just listened to,” Hannity said.

He then responded to Tapper’s tweets.

“Hey Jake, maybe that’s why you have low ratings,” Hannity responded. “Tell your audience the truth.”

Tapper — who has all but unanimous support from those journalists who have weighed in on Twitter — responded to Hannity’s segment with two more Tweets:
