Hey, there’s just 24 hours to go until the Olympics’ Opening Ceremony! Let’s check in with the Jamaican delegation and see how things are going over at the Olympic Village.

So… not great then.
The above video — via the Jamaica Gleaner, a Jamaican newspaper — shows the room of track and field team members Novlene Williams Mills and Aisha Praught in tatters. Three of Jamaica’s other rooms are apparently in similar disarray.
No tiles on the floor, paint and grout everywhere, showers yet to be installed. It’s a mess.
Remarkably, Jamaica’s chief Olympic official, Vishu Tolan, has faith that the rooms will be ready in extremely short order — because, y’know, everything else has gone so well with these Olympics.
“I think the village is extremely wonderful outside of these issues which I believe between today and tomorrow will be rectified,” Tolan told the Gleaner.
Somebody call the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team!
