Morning Joe Spends Second Day Railing on ‘Sad and Pathetic’ Dem Rep. Who Insulted John Kelly

Maybe it was a slow news day — or maybe JScar just really hates Congressman Luis Gutierrez.

In either case, the cast of Morning Joe devoted a second day to rehashing Gutierrez’s controversial feelings towards Trump Chief of Staff General John Kelly.

The Illinois’s Democrat, shredded Kelly as a “hypocrite” and “disgrace to his uniform” after Trump announced the end of DACA.

General Kelly, when he was the head of Homeland Security, lied straight to the faces of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus about preventing the mass deportation of DREAMers. Now as Chief of Staff, this former general is executing the plan to take away their lifeline and taking steps to criminalize young people who live and work here legally. General Kelly is a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President’s actions by ‘just following orders.

“I don’t even know where to start with that. That is so outrageous,” said Scarborough. “To say that a guy who has given his entire life to this country? You know what, sometimes you just got to say you’re sorry. Sometimes you just gotta say I screwed up. That was just horrific.”

Mika was on hand to smooth it out.

“I think there are very strong feelings about President Trump, especially among Democrats,” she said
“And some of them are very legitimate and I just worry that within all this we normalize horrific behavior on one side but not the other.”

“It doesn’t matter what he’s trying to say. He screwed up and he needs to apologize. It’s disgraceful,” Joe responded. “To denigrate a man and call him a disgrace to the uniform is sad and pathetic and he needs to take it back.”

Yesterday, Scarborough and MJ grandpa Mike Barnicle also set aside time to tear into Gutierrez in much the same way.

Kelly for his part, offered this response in an statement, Sunday to Fox News:

As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want as they do nothing and have almost no responsibility,” Kelly said. “They can call people liars but it would be inappropriate for me to say the same thing back at them. As my blessed mother used to say ‘empty barrels make the most noise.’
