Seth MacFarlane has pledged to help the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter meet its ambitious fundraising goals by matching up to $1 million in donations.
The Kickstarter, which smashed through its initial $1 million goal within a day of launching, now hopes to raise over $5 million to provide the classroom edition of the program to thousands of schools. If that goal is reached, MacFarlane will contribute an additional $1 million to the campaign, bringing the total up to $6 million — and placing Reading Rainbow in the hands of 12,500 classrooms throughout the country. (That is a lot of classrooms.)
