White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss President Donald Trump’s latest plans and administrative agenda. The briefing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. ET.
Today’s briefing will undoubtedly involve plenty of questions regarding “Spygate.” Trump continues to push his accusations against the FBI, even though he still hasn’t produced any evidence to establish whether those claims are true. In the meantime, various legal analysts have noted Trump’s lack of proof, and multiple GOP figures have pushed back against the idea that the FBI acted inappropriately.
Another topic certain to come up is the cancellation of Roseanne. ABC dropped the revived sitcom yesterday after Roseanne Barr went on a racially-charged, off-the-rails tweetstorm against Valerie Jarrett and plenty of others. Trump has praised the show for representing his voter base, and today, he condemned Disney CEO Bob Iger for ending the show while saying nothing at all about Barr’s egregious statements.
Other topics that may come up include ongoing talks with North Korea, Trump’s various statements from last night in Nashville, and his wish that Jeff Sessions was not his Attorney General.
