WATCH: Rep. Ilhan Omar Ignores Questions About House Resolution Condemning Anti-Semitism
With the House of Representatives set to vote on a resolution to condemn anti-Semitism in wake of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) latest comments on the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, she refused to answer questions about the resolution.
CNN House reporter Ashley Killough posted a video of reporters asking Omar about the resolution. She does not answer and instead has her cell phone to her ear.
She eventually gets on an elevator and does not talk during her phone call, indicating she was not on an actual call:

Lawmakers faking phone calls in order to help avoid answering reporter’s questions is nothing new.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was filmed faking a phone call and was called out for it by a reporter. Sanders appeared to not want to answer on if he believes the sexual misconduct allegations against Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax (D).
