Over the Christmas weekend, news came out the Republican semi-frontrunner Newt Gingrich was planning a shift in his campaign to “pets and music.” That doesn’t seem to be the only shift from serious to lighthearted however, if this video of Gingrich’s New Hampshire office holiday greeting is any indication.
There are a lot of bizarre things happening in this video, starting with the elfish character leading the caroling for Newt Gingrich. The Newty rendition of “Deck the Halls” is delivered mostly by the crew, while the elf the leads them in the carols, breakdances, forces them to wear Celtics-adorned caps, and several other actions which are likely quite uncomfortable for the rest of the staff.
The video ends with an assurance that it was “paid for by Newt 2012,” so this was either released as an official part of the Gingrich campaign, or someone is getting a hell of a lawsuit.
